Arabian Horse Galleries 1 - David Construction Company

Arabian Horse Gallery

arabian-1Kentucky is known for a handful of things. One of those very important cornerstones for the state is its horse racing.

In 2009, David Construction, working in conjunction with the architects from CMW Inc. erected a 7,900 square foot Arabian Horse Art Gallery in the middle of horse country – Lexington, KY.

This project, a shell addition to the International Museum of the Horse for the Arabian Horse Gallery, is home to a state-of-the-art multimedia, interactive experience showcasing the Arabian breed from its desert beginnings through its emergence across Europe and the journey through America. The exhibits also show the importance of the Arabian and how it changed the world.

David Construction was a general contractor on this site, focusing their efforts on site work, wall panels, steel erections, framing and drywall, roofing, finishes and storefronts.

Constant coordination with the Owner was required to integrate new and existing structures, maintain proper climate control, protect the exhibits and provide a safe environment for park patrons.

The project was completed in March, 2009 and is located at the Kentucky Horse Park.
